Privacy Notice

How Hollyway Global handles your information when you browse, create an account, verify your identity or use our services.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Hollyway Global is responsible for the personal information it collects to operate its marketplace and related services. This notice covers our website, user accounts, service requests and communications with our team.

For a privacy question or request, email contact@hollywayglobal.com. Tell us which account or transaction your request concerns. Do not include your password, one-time code or full identity number in an ordinary email.

2. Information we collect

The information needed depends on what you do. Browsing does not require you to create an account. Account actions, identity checks, payments and service requests require additional details.

  • Account information: email address, authentication records, account preferences and any profile picture you supply or authorise through Google sign-in.
  • Identity verification: the identity type and number you submit, verification results and identity details returned by the verification provider. Business upgrades may also require company, representative and settlement-account details.
  • Commerce and service information: listing descriptions, photos and videos, order or agreement details, delivery addresses, phone numbers, appliance requirements, bookings and correspondence.
  • Payment and dispute records: payment references, transfer proofs, settlement verification, release or refund requests and supporting evidence. Never upload a banking password or card PIN.
  • Technical information: session identifiers, request records and information needed to identify errors, protect accounts and investigate misuse.

3. Why we use information

We use your information to create and secure your account, verify identity, publish approved listings, coordinate orders and services, communicate updates, assess payment records, resolve complaints and maintain transaction history.

Depending on the activity, processing is necessary to perform the service you request, meet a legal obligation, protect a legitimate interest such as fraud prevention, or act on consent you have given. Optional marketing permission is separate from service communications. You can ask us to stop consent-based marketing without closing your account.

4. What is public and what is shared

Approved listings and other content intended for public display can be viewed without signing in. Review descriptions and media before submitting them; remove personal documents, private addresses or unrelated people from public material.

Information needed to carry out an order or service may be shared with the relevant participant, professional, vendor or delivery provider. Identity records, support attachments and payment evidence are handled for verification, administration and dispute purposes; they are not intended to be public listing content.

5. Service providers and other recipients

We use providers for identity and bank-account verification, sign-in, email delivery, hosting and other operational functions. A provider receives information needed for the relevant task. Google sign-in also operates under Google's own privacy terms.

We may disclose relevant records where required by law, a valid legal process, an investigation or the protection of a person's rights. External social channels and messaging services have their own privacy notices. Choosing to contact us through them also involves those services.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Session cookies support sign-in and account security. Browser storage may hold preferences or unfinished form details where that feature is offered. Clearing cookies or local storage can sign you out or remove an unfinished local draft.

Information submitted to Hollyway and saved to your account is separate from a local browser draft. Do not rely on browser storage as your only copy of an important record. Browser settings let you control cookies, but blocking necessary cookies can prevent account features from working.

7. Retention, protection and international processing

We retain information for as long as needed for the service, account administration, legal obligations, fraud prevention and the handling of disputes. Different records can require different retention periods. An account-deletion request does not require us to erase records we must lawfully retain.

Access to sensitive records is restricted to the people and systems that need them. No service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you suspect account compromise.

Some providers may process information outside Nigeria. Applicable safeguards and the purpose of the processing must be considered when personal information is transferred internationally. You can contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your request.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, receive a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or request deletion. Where a decision about you is automated, you can ask about the decision and the review options available.

Send requests to contact@hollywayglobal.com. We may need proportionate evidence of identity before disclosing or changing personal records. We will explain if a request cannot be fulfilled or if a legal retention requirement applies. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may also raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission through ndpc.gov.ng. Contacting Hollyway first does not remove your right to seek regulatory assistance.

9. Children and updates to this notice

Hollyway's account and transaction services are intended for people able to enter a lawful agreement. Do not submit a child's identity information or create an account on their behalf without the necessary legal authority. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been submitted improperly.

We may update this notice when services or processing practices change. The revision date identifies the current text. Material changes affecting an existing consent may require an additional notice or renewed consent.
